Evolve. Adapt. Become: The Genderqueer Fandom of NBC’s Hannibal (2023)
Queer Literary (18+)
Compiled and lightly edited by Max Turner
Featuring essay “‘This is My Becoming’: The Queer Resonance of Will Graham” by Max Turner
NBC’s Hannibal has resonated with many queer fans over the years. The show and being part of the Fannibal fandom has been a part of many people’s gender identity journeys.
In this fandom-led volume we capture the thoughts and feelings of some of the trans, non-binary, genderqueer and otherwise non-cis Fannibals through art, fiction, nonfiction and essays. These works, whilst inspired by Hannibal, paint a picture of what it is to be non-cis in the Hannibal fandom.
